Douglas D. Abbey is a partner at Seven Hills Properties. He is also Chairman of Swift Real Estate Partners, a privately-held company formed in 2010 that owns and operates office and industrial properties on the West Coast. He was previously a co-founder of AMB Property Corporation (predecessor to Prologis) and IHP Capital Partners. Mr. Abbey has more than 40 years of experience in investment management. He is a graduate of Amherst College and has a Master in City Planning degree from the University of California, Berkeley. He is the Chairman of the Urban Land Institute Foundation, past Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Golden Gate University, and a member of the Board and Executive Committee of Bridge Housing Corporation, a non-profit affordable housing developer active in Northern and Southern California.
 
Mr. Abbey is a lecturer in real estate at the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
